Flue gas denitration technologies mainly include selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and selective non catalytic reduction (SNCR). These two flue gas denitration technologies have their own advantages and disadvantages.

The SCR technology is to arrange the SCR reactor between the economizer and the air preheater of the thermal power unit boiler. The flue gas vertically enters the SCR reactor at 300 - 400 . NOx is reduced to harmless N2 and H2O through each layer of catalyst modules, and the denitrification rate reaches more than 95%.
