What are the sources of nitrogen oxides?
Nitrogen oxides come from thermal power generation, motor vehicle exhaust, boilers, etc.
1. Thermal power generation is the main source of nitrogen oxides. It mainly includes flue gas emissions from coal-fired units and gas-steam combined cycle power plants. The main flue gas components of coal-fired boilers are N2, O2, SO2, nitrogen oxides (NOx), and a small amount of CO, CH4 and other hydrocarbon compounds (CH). The main flue gas components of gas-steam combined cycle power plants are N2, O2, CO, S02, nitrogen oxides, particulate matter, and so on.

2. The important sources of nitrogen oxides also include the exhaust emissions of motor vehicles. When the automobile internal combustion engine is running, when the combustion temperature of the internal combustion engine reaches 1600 ℃, nitrogen oxides will be formed.
3. Combustion boilers are also a major source of nitrogen oxides, especially in winter, when heating is needed, the concentration of nitrogen oxides is 10 times higher than that in summer, and the oxidation performance is good in summer, which can be quickly converted. Therefore, the problem of nitrogen oxide pollution in winter is more serious.
